Portside About Portside

Aviation Software Built by Aviation People

Portside powers flight departments, charter operators, FBOs, leasing programs, and more across 40+ countries, supporting over 15,000 aircraft worldwide. Built by industry insiders with a combined 2,750+ years of aviation experience, our solutions reflect how aviation operations actually run.

Combining Decades of Aviation Expertise

In 2017, co-founders Alek Vernitsky and Alek Strygin set out to solve a problem their own investors kept running into: as aircraft owners, they still couldn’t get real visibility into their aircraft’s financial and operational data. That gap became Portside’s first product. Within a year, it grew into a broader suite, adding tools for fleet and crew optimization and billing.

From there, Portside grew by bringing together teams that had already spent decades solving complex problems in aviation operations. Avianis, BART, PFM, and FOS brought scheduling and dispatch expertise refined over decades in business flight departments, managed and charter operations included, while Takeflite brought that same rigor to commercial and cargo airlines at a global scale. Baldwin Safety & Compliance joined with safety infrastructure operators already trusted, and LeaseWorks brought Portside into aircraft leasing for the first time, backed by a team with deep leasing expertise already in place.

That foundation isn’t static, it’s still expanding. New products, new investment, new leadership, and AI-enabled tools are turning decades of aviation expertise into an ever-growing suite of solutions.
