Aircraft Leasing & Financing

Established in 1994, Novus Aviation Capital is an independent, privately-held aircraft leasing and financing platform focused on investing in commercial aircraft assets. Operating out of four global offices across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia, Novus manages 30 aircraft and maintains relationships with more than 170 customers in 70 countries, supported by a team of just over 30 employees.

Beyond traditional leasing, the company is active in operating and financing leases, mezzanine and junior debt, and third-party aircraft remarketing, servicing, and advisory work.

The challenge

One source of truth for global operations.

As an agile and innovative team, Novus was in search of having one true source of asset data available 24/7 across its commercial, contracts, and technical departments. They needed a solution that could easily be customized without needing to rely on a software solution provider.

Novus sought out a solution that would be relatively simple and intuitive and would allow ongoing customizations with a flexible framework and responsive client support.

The solution

A customizable platform built around LeaseWorks Asset.

To meet that need, Novus turned to LeaseWorks and its asset management platform, LeaseWorks Asset. From there, the team put its wide-ranging functionality to work: better managing asset and lease data, automating Business Intelligence reporting, and customizing Tech Spec and Lease Summary dashboards to fit how its technical team actually operates.

Because Asset ships quarterly product releases, Novus can fold in new enhancements as its needs shift, rather than waiting on a custom development cycle. And by integrating Asset with LeaseWorks CRM, data now moves automatically from deals into lease management and back again, giving the team real-time visibility for decisions that used to depend on manual handoffs.

For Kuzbari, that collaboration is only the beginning.

Expanding the LeaseWorks relationship will accelerate and streamline the digital transformation initiative effort at Novus and streamline the decision-making process across the technical, contracts, finance and commercial teams.

— Mamoun Kuzbari, Chief Commercial Officer, Novus Aviation Capital

The result

Instant gains from day-one customizations.

With Asset live, those customizations paid off almost immediately: Novus’s technical team started working from dashboards built around how they actually operate, management could pull reports the moment they needed them, and the manual re-entry that once ate into every deal handoff disappeared. Each quarterly release keeps adding capability without adding a new dependency on a vendor, exactly the flexibility Novus was looking for from the start.

For a leasing platform spread across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, that shift matters more than the feature list suggests. Commercial, contracts, and technical teams now work from the same real-time picture of every asset, instead of reconciling separate spreadsheets after the fact. Asset has become more than a system of record for Novus. It’s the foundation the company now leans on to turn its own data into a competitive edge, whether the team is marketing aircraft to a new customer or managing assets already on lease.
