The challenge
Inconsistent service from a previous provider.
Before moving to Baldwin, Talon Air struggled with customer service and reliability issues from their previous provider.
They found transparency was lacking, status updates were difficult to access, and the process wasn’t as smooth as their team needed.
The solution
A true one-stop shop for safety and scheduling.
Talon Air implemented the ASAP Facilitator Program alongside their already existing SMS software subscription.
As an Avianis customer, they found that Portside’s scheduling solution, integrated directly with Baldwin, provided a true “one-stop shop” for their team by combining safety management, ASAP facilitation, and scheduling.
Onboarding was quick and efficient. Within a week, Talon Air was live with the ASAP Facilitator program. Tim Martins, Director of Safety at Talon Air, worked closely with Todd Thomas, Baldwin’s Senior Safety Manager and head of the ASAP Facilitator Program, describing Todd as a trusted resource. During implementation, Baldwin also provided feedback on Talon’s forms, helping refine and improve them.
I can pick up the phone and call Todd whenever I have a question or just want to run an idea past someone.
— Tim Martins, Director of Safety, Talon Air
The result
Clear visibility and a stronger safety culture.
With ASAP reporting in flight and maintenance divisions, Talon Air gained clear visibility into safety issues. Through reporting, Talon uncovered gaps in SOPs, giving the team actionable insights to refine processes and strengthen safety culture. Combined with Baldwin’s transparent reporting and centralized system, they now have a reliable, one-stop shop for safety and compliance.
Transparency: Easy visibility into the status of reports and actions.
Customer Service: Reliable support and mentorship from Baldwin’s safety professionals.
Efficiency: All forms and safety data are centralized in one system, eliminating the need to switch between platforms.
A robust ASAP user, Talon Air averages 4.5 ASAP reports a month. Through maintenance ASAP reporting, they identified gaps in SOPs, giving them actionable insights to improve safety processes.
It’s a great one-stop shop solution. Having all forms in one spot makes everyone’s life easier.
